Joe Nicholas Boz, the head of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in Iraq, headed the delegation during the visit on Saturday, November 26.
The members of the delegation learned about different activities of the holy shrine’s Astan (custodianship) and the services it provides to pilgrims and citizens.
They also toured different parts of the Warith International Foundation for Oncology, Noon news agency reported.
They praised the foundation’s health and medical services provided to children free of charge and its use of the latest and most advanced equipment needed in treatment of cancer patients.
The women members of the delegation were waering Hijab during the visit to the Astan.
The Warith International Foundation for Oncology, which has been established by the Astan of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine, is the largest specialized cancer treatment center in Iraq.
