Muslim World Entrepreneurs Convention Gets Underway in Malaysia
The opening ceremony began at 8 a.m. local time with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.
Some 500 industry experts from across the global Islamic economy – including entrepreneurs, investors, consultants, ecosystem supporters, bankers and up-and-coming startups from different countries are attending the event.
They seek to introduce their activities, promote their businesses and learn more about the Islamic economy, which is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and whose volume will reach $2 trillion by 2018.
Iran also has representatives in the convention, including Hamid Saber Farzam, the head of Iran’s Quranic Technologies and Arts Incubator Center, one of the sponsors of the convention.
He is a keynote speaker at the program.
Iranian entrepreneurs and representatives of the center attending the convention have the opportunity for talks, interaction and sharing experiences with Muslim world entrepreneurs.
There is an exhibition underway on the sidelines of the convention, in which the center has presented three top entrepreneurial Islamic products designed and produced by Iranian entrepreneurs.
The center has made efforts to ensure greater, stronger and more organized presence of Iranian entrepreneurs at the international event this year.
It is also seeking to hold negotiations to make sure that Iran will host a future edition of the convention and exhibition.
