This is according to Morteza Khedmatkar, director of the education department of the Culture Ministry's Quran and Etrat Deputy, who added that registration for the examination will start on August 6 and continue for ten days.
He told the Fars News Agency that the exam will be held in 300 cities and towns across the country.
Quran memorization, pondering over the Holy Book's teachings, Quranic concepts, and Nahj-ul-Balaqa concepts are the four major themes of the exam, Khedmatkar stated.
He noted that the exam, whose objective is to foster the teachings of the Quran and Etrat in society, will feature multiple-choice questions.
The official went on to say that unlike previous years, Quranic institutes in different cities have been tasked with holding the examination this year and the culture ministry will only supervise the process.
