Students’ Quranic Skills to Be Evaluated in Qatar

An examination on Quranic skills of students will be organized today, December 29, in cooperation with Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in Qatar.




According to Al-Arab newspaper, the Quran and Quranic Sciences Section of the Office for Religious Dissemination and Guidance of the ministry will hold the examination with the participation of more than 6000 Qatari students.



The evaluation will continue until January 9, 2014, with the aim of promoting Quranic skills of the students.



350 Quranic committees in 86 centers of the country will hold the examination.



Seyyed Mohammad Mahmoud, director of the office said that encouraging the students to participate at Quranic activities and learn to read and memorize the verses of the holy Quran is another objective of the organizers of the examination.



Seyyed Ma’adh bin Yusuf Al-Qasemi, head of the education section of the office also stated that the examination is organized every four months in line with the programs of the section to serve the Holy Quran and Quran activists.
