IQNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi says the Holy Quran can answer all the questions that people have, noting that these answers can be obtained through ijtihad.

“The Quran holds the answers to all questions of modern human life. Today, we must strive to find these answers through civilization-building ijtihad, guided by the light of the Holy Quran and its divine verses,” Raeisi said on Saturday.

He made the statements while addressing a ceremony to honor 15 Iranian Quranic servants. The ceremony was held on the sidelines of the 31st Tehran International Quran Exhibition at the capital's Mosalla.

“While we’ve honored a few servants of the Holy Quran today, it’s important to recognize that everyone involved in serving the Quran deserves appreciation,” he said, adding that they’ve dedicated their lives to reading, understanding, and living by the divine verses of the Quran.

Lauding innovative approaches at Quran Expo

Raeisi expressed his gratitude to all the organizers for making this Quranic event possible, not only in Tehran but across various provinces of our country. He also appreciated all the Quranic institutions, activists, and scholars, particularly those who have contributed new and valuable works for children and teenagers at the Quran exhibition.

“This year, we’ve seen the beautiful integration of technology and creativity at the exhibition, which serves as an excellent example of innovative approaches to Quranic education,” he said, pointing to innovative sections at the event that use modern technologies such as artificial intelligence to promote the Holy Quran.

The 31st edition of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition was officially launched in a ceremony on March 20.  It has been attended by representatives from 25 countries.

The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan. The exhibition is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.

Quran a refuge for all

Elsewhere, President Raeisi said that the Holy Quran is a “refuge” for all people across the world. “We believe that human prosperity and happiness lie in following the verses of the Holy Quran, which we see as the only refuge for all people worldwide.”

The key to achieving happiness in this life and the hereafter lies in paying attention to the Quran, he added.

Quran key to Muslim unity

Focusing on the Quran helps maintain the unity of Muslims, he stressed. “Today, the secret to Muslim unity and resistance against adversaries lies in paying attention to the Quran.”

“The powerful resistance movement we see today is a testament to the functional peaks of the Holy Quran,” he said, adding that the resilience of the oppressed people of Gaza is due to their adherence to the divine verses of the Holy Quran.

The Quran guarantees human rights, and ironically, those who falsely claim to champion human rights are the biggest violators, Raeisi said.

“Today, despite the efforts of arrogant powers seeking to oppose the Quran, they will not succeed. Interest in the Holy Quran is growing in the West, and worldwide, attention to the Quran and Ahl al-Bayt (AS) is on the rise,” he said.
