Libya Condemns Quran Desecration in Front of Embassy in Denmark

In a statement, the ministry held the Danish authorities politically responsible for harming relations between the two countries and allowing the Libyan people and all Muslims around the world to be provoked by continuing to ignore the hate crimes and incitement carried out by extremists with the aim of insulting the Islamic religion and Muslims.

“Libya cannot accept allegations that this cowardly act is a tool for expressing an opinion”, the statement reads.

The ministry warned against allowing once again provocative activities against the feelings and sanctities of Muslims around the world in front of the headquarters of the Libyan embassy in Copenhagen, stressing that re-allowing such a crime will prompt a reconsideration of the feasibility of continuing diplomatic relations and cooperation between the two countries, according to the statement.
