Speaking to IQNA, Gholamreza Karimi, Secretary General of National Commission of ISESCO in Iran, said these activities include training Quran teachers, helping to elevate the quality of Quranic institutes in different countries, especially in Africa, and promoting the teaching of Arabic as the language of the Quran.
He also said the organization hold courses for teaching a standardized Quranic orthography.
ISESCO is a specialized institution of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in the fields of Education, Science and Culture, founded in May 1979.
It aims to strengthen, promote and consolidate cooperation among its member states in the fields of education, science, culture and communication, as well as develop and upgrade these fields, within the framework of the civilizational reference of the Islamic world and in the light of human Islamic values and ideals.
The organization also aspires to publicize the correct image of Islam and Islamic culture.
