Massive Congregation of Imam Hussein Mourners in Zanjan
ZANJAN (IQNA) – Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Zanjan, northern Iran, every year to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS).
This ceremony is hosted by the Great Husseiniya of Zanjan every year on the 8th day of Muharram. This is often described as the biggest congregation of Shia mourners in Iran.
This year's event was held on Saturday, August 6.
