Iranian Qaris Attend Quranic Conference in Bangladesh

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 20th international Quran conference of Bangladesh was held in the capital Dhaka on January 24-25.

 

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Qaris and Quran activists from Iran, Egypt, Morocco, Malaysia, Thailand and Turkey, as well as the host country, attended the conference.

The Iqra Institute, headed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Yusuf al-Azhari, organized the event at Baitul Mukarram Mosque in Dhaka.

The religious affairs minister of Bangladesh and a number of religious officials and ambassadors of Muslim countries were also among the participants at the two-day event.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Qaris from Iran and other countries attended Quran recitation sessions in Dhaka and several other cities of Bangladesh.

One of them was Karim Mansori, internationally-acclaimed Iranian Qari, whose recitations drew applause from the hosts and foreign guests.
