Quran, Adhan Competition Planned in Pakistan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in Pakistan will hold a competition on Quran recitation, memorization and Adhan (call to prayers) in Lahore.

 

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Aliakbar Rezayifard, head of the Iranian Culture House in Lahore discussed the organization of the competition in a meeting with Hojat-ol-Islam Mahdi Hassan, head of the Quranic affairs office and Dhafar Hussein Naqavi, a teacher of Jami’at-ol-Muntadhar Seminary of the city.

The officials discussed the development of Quranic activities, mutual cooperation and organization of Quran competitions in the two countries.

Rezayifard highlighted the holding of Quranic programs as one of the major activities of the center in Pakistan and said that it will host the final stage of the Quran and Adhan competition in cooperation with the seminary.

Naqavi, the seminary’s teacher of Quran interpretation, hailed Iran’s valuable services in Quranic fields and said there is no doubt that Holy Quranic is among the main factors in the Iran-Pakistan relations.

He also hailed the high level of international Quran competitions and Quranic courses in Iran and added that the seminary is ready to cooperate with the center in holding the Quran contests.
