Ramadan Quran Competition Starts in India’s Srinagar

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Jammu and Kashmir Association of Hajj and Umrah Companies (JKAHUC) in Srinagar, India, has organized a Quran competition named “Meharjaan Ramadhan”.

 

The Jammu Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society has cooperated in holding the annual Quranic event on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Quran recitation, Adhan and Na’at (a poem usually composed in Urdu to praise the Holy Prophet (PBUH)) are the three categories of the competition.

Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) is hosting the two-day competition on May 25 and 26.

Three top winners in each category will be awarded 20000,35000 and 50000 Rupees respectively.
