Iranian Center Holding Ramadan Programs in Uganda

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in Uganda has been organizing different religious and Quranic programs in the holy month of Ramadan.

 

According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the center holds Ramadan Quran competitions in cooperation with the African country’s UBC TV channel and Radio Bilal.

Cooperation in holding cultural forums at Kibuli Mosque under the supervision of Uganda’s second Mufti, holding a one-month educational workshop on the role of Ramadan in self-development and developing the society and participation at Iftar (breaking fast) ceremony of Metropolitan University of Kampala are among the programs of the center.

The Friday prayers leader and board of trustees of Bokoto Mosque have also invited the Iranian cultural attaché to deliver a speech on the objectives and virtues of the holy month of Ramadan in the sermons of the Friday prayers.

The Iranian cultural envoy will also participate in religious programs to be held by Uganda’s Quran and Etrat Islamic Organization on the occasion of the Hazrat Khadijeh’s (SA) demise anniversary, birthday anniversary of Imam Hassan (AS), martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) and the International Quds Day.

He will deliver speeches on the problems of the Muslim world and the solutions, a glance at the life style of Imam Hassan (AS), the importance of Qadr nights and the International Quds Day in the programs.

The center also plans to hold an academic forum on the necessity of the Muslim world’s unity in defending Palestine on the occasion of the International Quds Day and a course on Islamic ethics at Al-Mustafa Islamic College during Ramadan.
